Addressing Difficult Questions

Addressing Difficult Questions

This third part of an extended mailbag series addresses sensitive questions about race. Unfortunately, black coaches have historically been given less room for error than white coaches, and some audience members have asked about how that dynamic may play out at Florida State. The bottom line: Willie Taggart and his diverse staff has a great opportunity to break new ground with success at Florida State.

I appreciate your honest and insightful discussion in this episode regardless of those who want to avoid having it or acknowledge the differing standards linked to race. Let’s just hope that Taggart’s has assembled a winning formula which would greatly change some of the unfortunate dialogue and criticisms.
