Day and Nightmare – Boise State Postgame Hot Takes

Day and Nightmare – Boise State Postgame Hot Takes

This episode takes a look at the positives, the negatives, and the deeply concerning after Florida State wilted in the Tallahassee heat, Minus some trouble stopping the run, the first half looked like what was expected coming out of camp. The second half looked more like last year’s team. What that means and whether there’s any chance of fixing it is anyone’s guess.

Nailed it. One thing that really turned the game early was Blackmans sack fumble because it turned directly into points. While those things happen, they shouldnt have been trying ro go deep when the guard just went down.

Couldn’t have been more wrong on the prediction pods, could you, buddy? Not your fault at all, because no one was allowed to see practices, But your inside sources let you down, because as to players and coaches in preseason, “they compare themselves with themselves” 2 Cor. 10:12. When we play a G5 team with a first start freshman QB, it continues to fall apart. Either our talented players are so idiotic they still can’t understand where to be and what to do in coverage, or we have to admit the coaching is poor. One or the other.

No, I still stand behind what I said. Heck, things mostly looked better in the first half than I expected or projected. The DTs getting pushed around was the one big surprise, though the LBs weren’t quite as good as hoped. I’d warned about the DBs not making enough plays in the projections, so that part wasn’t shocking.

Well, Boise certainly didn’t need “good luck running against Wilson, Durden and Cooper” or throwing against this talented secondary, as many were predicting. They just did it. Pretty easily. It’s obvious from your recent podcast that Barnett and Taggart don’t have the knowledge or ability to be coaching at this level, and other coaches are easily exploiting them. That leaves no hope that we’ll do anything with this staff but underachieve., despite how good Briles and his crew are at their particular jobs. Shame. You don’t have to post this.

Jason, Just an Observation Big Picture seems most of Florida States programs problems are a result of poor decision making after Jimbo Bounced. Stan Wilcox made a rushed Coaching Hire which may or may not have had an agenda attached to it then he left shortly after. Coach Taggart came in and made several Poor decisions in Hiring his staff which he already had to replace on offensive side of ball and it appears may have to do on defensive as well . Just cannot figure out what they are doing on defense? Everything from the high school spot dropping in the back end to the line backers refusing to trigger down hill and sit flat footed they look lost and nothing resembles Barnett’s past MSU ‘s defensesthat played press man there seems to be very good backend talent being coached poorly and put in bad positions what a mess.No one can afford that buyout either wow
