Posted at 01:08h, 23 DecemberRandy Sanders didn’t quite upgrade from FSU going to East Tennessee. His phone wasn’t ringing off the hook with opportunity. CSU for Charles Kelly isn’t an upgrade either. To insinuate his staff was desired by other Power 5 programs would be misguided. Taking a job at a lower level school doesn’t mean Jimbo’s staff had good coaches. I think Randy Sanders taking a job at East Tennessee and the rest following Jimbo proves that. In several years not one program poached an FSU coach. That says something.

Posted at 01:11h, 23 DecemberThe primary thing it says is that FSU sufficiently matched salary and other aspects of offers to keep the coaches programs tried to poach. You mention Kelly going to CSU as not being an upgrade, but it was only two years ago that Auburn offered him over $1mil per year to be their DC. The narrative that nobody ever tried to hire any of FSU’s assistant coaches is simply false.
