Chad Wheeler joins to break down the FSU defense against Stanford (along with a few offensive plays at the end). This is ugly film on the FSU side. A combination of poor alignment, questionable scheme decisions, and shockingly poor effort at times hamstrung Florida State against a good Stanford game plan.
A tough watch but a nice job by you and Chad in reviewing much of the defensive effort versus Stanford from this past Saturday night. They definitely missed Rawls in both the run game and the passing game. I thought Omar Graham played a solid game but the other linebackers simply aren't very good - particularly with Thompson seemingly being banged up in some way nearly every week. Not sure why Herring played so little in the Stanford game with them being a run-heavy team. White's approach to secondary coverages is baffling and is hard to understand his philosophy on why he does what he does.
