Good, solid review of the NMSU game. I hope you're right about the OLine. I haven't re-watched the game but in real-time I was not impressed in the least. And I believe some of that average time that Daniels had to throw the football in the game was a function of his legs and his ability to work outside the pocket under pressure. Regardless, we'll know a whole lot more about the 2026 OLine shortly before midnight on Labor Day evening. Thanks. Go Noles!
Hey Doc. Looking forward to hearing your preview of the SMU game.
Personally, I think whomever wins this game is going to win it decisively by at least 2 scores. And I truly don't have a clue as to which team that will likely be. Either FSU comes out and imposes its will from the 1st quarter on like they did at home on multiple occasions last season. Or SMU's offense goes up and down the field repeatedly against a beleaguered and ill-prepared FSU defense and wins going away. Unfortunately my gut just doesn't trust Norvell and White to get this team prepared to perform up to the FSU standard but I'm hoping that I'm wrong.
And for whatever reason, one thing I do expect to see is the FSU offense operating at a quick tempo. A couple of comments by Norvell and Harris back during Fall camp leads me to believe that they think that Daniels operates more effectively in an up-tempo scheme. We shall see on that.
Barring a heavy rain in Tallahassee on Monday, I'm predicting a final score of 41-27. But I really have no clear feel as to who's going to come out on top.
