I gotta say - I'm a little surprised (and elated) at how much effort and focus was on display by FSU today - particularly by the defense. I was very much expecting a less-than-clean performance coming off last week's big win. The only thing that seemed a bit off was the straight-ahead running game. Not as many gashing runs by the 1st team offense and backs as I would have liked to have seen but ETAM did have alot of guys in the box. Defensively - the 3rd and 4th teamers might have been more violent than the 2-deep. Really impressed with how physical White and his coaches seem to have nearly everyone playing with an edge. Punt return still remains a mystery. I blame alot of it on Coach Johnson and how he is presumably aligning his returner and his fielding instructions. Until they put B.J. Gibson (who is the only natural punt catcher I think that they have) back there it's going to remain a problem it would appear. Go Noles!
Hey Doc. Good discussion of today's game versus ETAM and some final thoughts on the Bama game. Still need to finish watching both film breakdowns that you did. I'm expecting a few lapses on defense due to the opponent but maybe I'll be wrong. Let's go 48-16 Noles. I'm also predicting Jayvan Boggs to have a big day receiving. Go FSU!
