For two straight weeks 1st half turnovers by the offense were the biggest factor with Castellanos not being fully-healthy the next biggest thing (he needs to be full-go physically to truly be effective - see the Bama game). And maybe I'm mistaken on this - but I don't believe the FSU offense had a single 3-and-out series and repeatedly moved the ball on the vaunted Miami (FL) offense throughout the game. The two biggest plays of the game to me were the risky 4th and 8 when we were down 7-3 and throwing a pick that got returned well into FSU territory - with the terrible overthrow of Squirrel on FSU's initial offensive possession in the 2nd half being the next biggest play (I'm guessing Squirrel scores if Castellanos hits him on that play). Defense played okay but not great (poor tackling angles) but certainly good enough to win the game if the offense didn't repeatedly self-destruct. By the way - I'm starting to worry about Jerry Wilson as one of our starting corners as he's too much of a gambler and is a little too stiff for my liking. Miami (FL) had an obvious game plan to go at him and not Rawls and it proved to be an effective tactic.
