Who’s Behind the Mic?

Dr. Jason A. Staples has covered college sports for various outlets for over a decade. As a below-average football walk-on (read: proud practice dummy) at Florida State from 2000–2002, Jason had the opportunity to see what greatness looks like up close, learning from some of the most legendary coaches and players in the game.

In addition to hosting this podcast, Jason is a Teaching Assistant Professor at NC State University (having also taught at Duke, UNC, Wake Forest, and Florida State); coaches wide receivers/passing game, strength and conditioning, and special teams at Jordan High School (Durham, NC); writes a weekly column for The Wilson Times; provides regular analysis at InsideCarolina; and works with quarterbacks through Performance Elite Camps. Jason also serves as a private coach working individually with quarterbacks, wide receivers, and defensive backs, with expertise in proper throwing biomechanics as well as speed training and strength and conditioning.
