And as an aside - I absolutely loved the camera angles that the ABC broadcast was showing the last few minutes of the 1st half before the second "lightning" stoppage occurred. They were basically only using the over-field cameras since they had apparently told their camera operators to go and take a break after lightning had been reported in Mobile. It was great being able to see all 11 defenders and all 11 offensive players for most of the play (particularly pre-snap).

By the way - Norvell basically gave away any chance of winning this game via some middle-school-like clock management after returning from the second weather delay. He had to figure out a way to finish out the 1st half with that 21-13 lead and then retake possession via the 3rd quarter kickoff. But in typical Norvell fashion he did not - alot of that caused by his zero instincts QB - and ended up somehow trailing at the half versus leading. Truly amazing.

And if Norvell decides to tell Tony White to "have a good day" sometime this week, I'm okay with that. The last 4 times this Tony White defense has stepped on the field it has looked highly uncoordinated. I've personally seen enough of Tony White's gimmicky scheme that has zero identity in Tallahassee other than being trashy.

Hey Doc. Well - at least it was an entertaining game this past Saturday minus the ludicrous "lightning" delays. I definitely wasn't shocked by the 50-burger that Bama hung on this atrocious defensive squad but I am surprised and mildly heartened by the 5 touchdowns that the offense put on the board in Tuscaloosa without any short fields to work with.

Hey Doc - appreciate the preview. I'm expecting a total wipeout of our Noles this afternoon. If FSU isn't the worst-coached P4 team in the country then they're for sure competing to be on the podium. I watch quite a bit of college football games just like you do and this Norvell / White concoction is truly something to behold in terms of lack of assignment IQ and situational awareness, etc., etc. If they don't lose by at least 4 touchdowns today I'll be shocked. Of course I hope I'm wrong and maybe they'll pull off a massive upset on the road but I think the chances of that are very slim. But we shall see!

P.S. As far as your initial thoughts on the new A.D. - I personally think they're going to go for a non-traditional athletic director. I'm thinking they're going to hire someone from the world of business or possibly the world of sports business. Wouldn't be surprised if they hired say the person who is the chief fundraiser or marketing director for say the U.S. Open tennis championships or someone like that with an assistant A.D. that deals with the individual FSU teams, putting together schedules, etc.

Go Noles!
